Marika Drawing Self PortraitCrafternoons with Marika McCoola! How lucky are we to offer this amazing class! Students will explore drawing and writing their own story. Marika will work with different formats and methods. She has extensive experience as an author, teacher and artist.

Day & time: Tuesday's 3:15 - 5:15

Age: 5th grade and up 

Supplies for class: Colored Pencil Set and Notebook

Class schedule: September 12,19, 26 October 3,10, 17, 24 (no class on Halloween) November 7, 14, 21, 28 December 5, 12

 

About Marika McCoola

Marika McCoola is an illustrator, educator, and the New York Times bestselling author of Baba Yaga's Assistant. She studied illustration, art history, creative writing, and ceramics at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and received her BFA in Illustration in 2009. Marika then went on to study creative writing and children's literature at Simmons College, receiving an MFA in Writing for Children in 2012.
