NATURAL DYE WORKSHOP 5/18

NATURAL DYE WORKSHOP 5/18

175.00

Join us for an amazing experience with natural dye! You will learn to select and prep fibers, mordant and make dyes from lots of materials including sawdust, insects, bark, kitchen waste, dried flowers/leaves and some extract work. We will dye the full rainbow spectrum, some neutrals and variations, usually 12-15 colors.  Jackie uses mini-skeins, so all together you end up with around 300 yards, enough for a vibrant natural dye rainbow project.  If you are interested dyeing with fabric we will provide you with materials.   Both beginners and experienced dyers will stand to learn a lot from this intensive.

Jackie Ottino-Graf is a spectacular person, incredible maker and one of my favorite teachers.  She is responsible for creating the beautiful fibers and natural dye colors for a well known international yarn company based in Maine.  She has taught natural dye classes all over the country to sold out crowds :)!
